As working remotely has become a norm for millions of people recently, many of us still need to find a good balance between having the freedom of building our own daily schedule and staying connected with our colleagues and bosses. So, how good is working from home? Today, I am going to take a quick look at the advantages of working from home and develop a list of tips for home-sitters to help them feel needed and quite productive.

  1. First of all, everyone who has to spend most of their time at home, needs to structure their time according to a fixed schedule. This is the nature of man: we need to be organized. You will demonstrate better performance if you know that every two hours, for example, you need to stand up from your table and do a few exercises, or eat a sandwich, or do something else.

2. Set up your break times and try to keep to this schedule.

3. Arrange your workspace to make it comfortable and make sure you have every needed tool, including online communication tools, at hand.

4. Remain connected with your colleagues on regular basis.

5. Use various applications that can help you remain organized; on the other hand, use social networking systems wherever possible, to remain connected with your colleagues.

6. Revise your home/family lifestyle and rhythm to prevent any disturbance during your working hours.

7. Finally, do whatever you can to remain physically fit and healthy. Allow time for sports and walks in the fresh air every day.
